The new NIKON 7294 Monarch III 8×42 Binoculars with a dielectric high-reflective multicolor prism coating are available. This coating will assure uniform and high transmittance in full visible range for bright and natural color images.  When comparing the Nikon 7294 Monarch III 8×42 Binoculars to the Nikon 7430 Monarch 8×42 All-Terrain Binoculars a slight difference will be noticed when viewing blue objects, but the biggest improvement is  the increased brightness of the objects you see.  Below is a table showing all the specifications for the new Nikon 7294 Monarch III 8×42 Binoculars.

  1. Is there any other difference between the two models besides the slight color difference in viewing blue objects? I couldn’t see any major improvement of the new 7294 vs. the old 7430 that justifies the $50 price difference.

  2. Bob,
That is the biggest difference. You’ll have a brighter image with the 7294.

  3. Hello,
Thanks for your reviews, they have been very helpful.
I found that some glasses wearers were disappointed with the new Nikon 8×42 ATB, because was hard to get focus image. But there is no difference in eye relief between both binos. So, the Nikon ATB (7430 and 7294) really adjust well with glasses?

  4. Yes, I find that both the 7430 & 7294 adjust well with glasses. I like both binoculars.
